Modern Slavery and Traficking Policy

This policy is designed to protect violations of the modern slavery act 2015 within its own operations and within those of our supply chain. This policy applies to all employees, directors and suppliers of Active Tagging Ltd, Otley.

What is slavery and human trafficking?

This is the modern-day issue of forcing people to work in conditions and for pay that would breach the law in this country and any country abroad. Whilst we are able to ensure our own workforce are not subject to trafficking and slavery, through direct employment of British nationals and workers with aright to live and work in the UK, and our consequent meeting of all our own responsibilities, we can be indirectly associated with slavery and human trafficking. This can be if we are involved in purchasing materials, good and services that maybe sourced from outside the UK, or maybe part sourced inside the UK &Europe but the chain of supply or production may go back to outside the UK.

The chain of supply

Everyone in the company who deal with suppliers must follow this policy and follow our policy of purchasing from approved suppliers only. It is in the approval process where we seek to purchase only from reputable bona fide suppliers of goods – and also services. All suppliers must be approved and part of that approval is to ensure that our suppliers also run to a modern slavery and human trafficking policy of their own.
